In 2016, I was honored to receive a Lumiere Award from the Advanced Imaging Society for my work on the stereoscopic 3D documentary Nepal.

The Lumiere Awards recognize outstanding achievements in advanced imaging technologies and immersive storytelling. Presented by the Advanced Imaging Society, whose members include leading companies and professionals from the film and technology industries, the awards celebrate innovation in areas such as stereoscopic 3D, virtual reality, high dynamic range (HDR), spatial media, and emerging cinematic technologies. Receiving this recognition was a significant milestone in my career and reinforced my long-standing commitment to stereoscopic filmmaking and immersive visual experiences. The project demonstrated how 3D cinematography can go beyond technical spectacle, creating a stronger sense of presence and emotional connection with people, landscapes, and cultures.

The Lumiere Award continues to inspire my work in stereoscopic cinema, spatial media, virtual production, and education, where I strive to help shape the next generation of immersive storytellers.
