Research, films and projects by Prof. Alaric Hamacher and the 3D Film Lab at Kwangwoon University in the field of stereoscopic 3D imaging and cinema.
The work covers the complete stereoscopic production process, including 3D cinematography, stereoscopic camera systems, depth composition, alignment and correction, post-production, projection and display technologies, as well as the perceptual principles behind comfortable and expressive stereoscopic images.
Projects range from stereoscopic filmmaking and documentary production to 3D broadcasting, education and experimental imaging, combining practical cinematography with research into the technical and aesthetic possibilities of stereoscopy.
This section collects films, research, production experiences and technical developments exploring stereoscopic 3D as a cinematic and spatial visual medium.
